Where to start
Most enquiries arrive as a symptom rather than a scope. These are the ones we hear most often, and where each of them actually belongs.
Start with size. What you consume, and when, decides the array — and whether net metering is worth having.
This is a storage and backup question rather than a generation one. It starts from which circuits must stay live.
Net metering, which changes the system design and not only the paperwork — so it belongs in the first conversation.
An installation problem, usually protection that was never coordinated or a board carrying more than it was built for.
Soiling, a string offline, a degrading connection or an inverter fault. All measurable, none visible from the ground.

They are one discipline described from five angles. A solar installation is an electrical project with a generator attached: the array is sized by the load assessment, connected through protection that has to be coordinated with the existing installation, earthed properly, and — if surplus is to be exported — designed from the start to satisfy the distribution company rather than adjusted afterwards.
That is why the electrical work is offered on its own, and why maintenance is not treated as an afterthought. A site frequently needs the electrical scope before it needs generation, and every system needs someone who will still be reachable in year four.
